In 2014, Nissan was the largest car manufacturer in North America. In 2017, Nissan was the sixth largest automaker in the world, after Toyota, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai Motor Group, General Motors and Ford. Since October 2016 Nissan holds a 34% controlling stake in Mitsubishi Motors. ![]() Following an agreement in January 2023, Renault is set to reduce its voting stake to 15%, making both manufacturers equal in voting rights. Renault holds a 43.4% voting stake in Nissan, while Nissan holds a 15% non-voting stake in Renault. Since 1999, Nissan has been part of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance (Mitsubishi joining in 2016), a partnership between Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors of Japan, with Renault of France. The company traces back to the beginnings of the 20th century, with the Nissan zaibatsu, now called Nissan Group. The company sells its vehicles under the Nissan and Infiniti brands, and formerly the Datsun brand, with in-house performance tuning products (including cars) labelled Nismo. ( Japanese: 日産 自動車 株式会社, Hepburn: Nissan Jidōsha kabushiki gaisha), often shortened to Nissan, is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. It was the worst part of our vacation.Nissan Motor Co. We felt we weren’t safe, couldn’t get “off” the tour and couldn’t get refunded. They offer nothing to accommodate refunds or wanting to go back. We were eating dust of the other drivers the whole ride, miserably bouncing, and going so fast we couldn’t enjoy the scenery or anything at all. Nothing in the brochure or meeting with the owner mentioned off-road. We were told to pack snacks and drinks in a cooler as if this were a picnic. She was not able to exit the Jeep to use the restroom and was panicked the whole way down that she would be embarrassed by an accident. She bounced uncontrollably and painfully for 3 hours in a great deal of pain. She was not able to secure the seatbelt and no one checked that she was not secure or offered her an alternate. He did not mention to her the difficulty of climbing in and out of the “Jeep” which is a large modified truck with bench seats. We were a crew with two mobility challenged members - my mom literally rode up on a scooter and booked this tour from the street with owner. Long story short, our tour experience was worse, and the owner obviously doesn’t practice what he preaches nor cares about the loyalty of his customers. He got an attitude and in response to our disbelief, because he had just preached decency and we had been very loyal to his company, he said something along the lines of “I don’t care what you think, I’m married” (not sure what being married has to do with our dissatisfaction?). He acted like it was absurd that we would ask that of him. With all of the automotive places in town being closed and just needing a little air from a compressor, we decided to ask the owner that had just preached about being a good person to us, if we could simply use their air compressor so we could get home. ![]() The only reason I bring this up is because after the tour (and after us spending almost $1,000 as a group for the tour) we had a low tire and were needing to leave town. And the whole way he preached about being nice and being a good person. He made multiple comments about lunch being ready for him back in town. This year we had the owner of the business drive us and we made none of the stops we typically did (besides at the top of the mountain). In previous years with one of the drivers (I can’t remember his name) we made many stops as part of the tour and really got to enjoy what all the trail has to offer. It has always been something we have enjoyed but this year that changed. We have used this company and taken their jeep tours for four years now. We highly recommend trying the jeep tour out the next time you are in Red River. We had no complaints and the kids loved it. We had a great time and Jeremy was a great tour guide. He took us to the top of Greenie and back down. Jeremy was just as excited about the bat as we were. We also visited a cave and saw a small bat sleeping upside down from the cave roof. ![]() We actually found some gold while panning. On the tour we panned for gold and Jeremy explained the process and the history associated with gold in Northern New Mexico. He showed concern with our comfort the entire 3 hours. He was enthusiastic about making sure they had a great time too. ![]() We had two small children with us and Jeremy was more than helpful with them. He ensured we had plenty our blankets to keep us cozy and warm in the back of the truck. However, that didn't stop us and it didn't stop Jeremy, our guide. While we were in Red River it rained and was cold the whole week. We booked a Jeep tour and Jeremy was our guide.
